8. Mobile device advertising settings

According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you can manage the use of advertising identifiers through the privacy control module built into the device operating system:

8.1 Android system management path (applicable to Android 4.0 and above)

  1. Go to "Settings" → "Google" → "Ad Services"
  2. Enable the "Opt out of Ads Personalization" switch
  3. This operation will reset your GAID (Google Advertising ID) and prohibit applications from calling advertising identifiers for interest profiling at the system level. Within 72 hours after the setting takes effect, the advertising alliance will stop targeted push based on historical behavior data.
